The fabric name alone cannot tell you which cleaning method is appropriate.

Where to look
Check underneath removable cushions, under the frame or in the manufacturer’s paperwork. A product page or order confirmation can also help identify the exact model. Keep a photo of every instruction, including any restrictions on moisture, solvents, covers or trim. Two pieces that look similar can have different backings, dyes and construction, so do not assume that one label covers the whole room.
A label is a starting point
Care markings are useful, but a letter does not authorize a home-made cleaning recipe. The age and condition of the furniture, previous treatments and color stability also affect the decision. Removable does not necessarily mean machine-washable: a cover can shrink, lose its shape or no longer match the rest of the piece. Follow the manufacturer’s guidance and ask before applying moisture.
What to do when the label is missing
Send the brand or model if you know it, a full photo of the item and a close view of the fabric. Tell us if the piece has been reupholstered or if the cushions came from another set.
