Area rugs and installed carpet: which service do you need?
AllSurface accepts area rug enquiries. Installed wall-to-wall carpet is not part of the service.

Identify the item
An area rug is a separate piece placed over another floor surface. It usually has visible edges and can be moved, even if furniture makes that difficult. Installed carpet generally extends wall to wall and is secured as part of the room. A runner can be either a loose rug or a fixed stair covering, so a full photo is helpful if the distinction is unclear.
Tell us about the rug itself
Measure its approximate length and width and photograph the backing or label where accessible. Mention fringes, a separate pad and the floor underneath. Fiber, dyes and construction can make a substantial difference to cleaning suitability. Some delicate or specialty pieces need off-site assessment or a specialist process. We do not assume that every rug can be treated in place just because it is movable.
Make the enquiry specific
For a Woodbridge appointment, include your ZIP code and where the rug sits in the house. Tell us if a bed, piano or heavy table is on top; do not try to lift heavy furniture alone. If your enquiry is for fitted carpet, this is not the service to book. Sending the right information early helps avoid an unsuitable appointment and gives us the chance to discuss what your actual rug needs.
